Yoga poses to improve height
Let us look at 3 ways to help grow taller physically and probably mentally too.
Cobra pose - Lay a mat on the floor and lie down on the belly with arms by the sides and feet together. Keep your lower body and buttocks firm and slowly lift your upper body and head to a good height.
You can either hold that position or you have the option of rising higher with the help of your arms. Both of these workouts are tremendous for the spine and back, increasing strength and stretching them out for greater height and flexibility.
Dog and Cat pose - You’ll start on your hands and knees, stretching your body out, spine inverted, and tilting your head up. From here you want to shift your spine position completely in the opposite direction, pulling it up, and pulling your stomach in. Alternate between these 2 positions, holding each for several seconds. This workout does wonders for the flexibility and elasticity of your spine, putting it through a full range of motion multiple times in short order.
Downward Facing Dog - Sounds like martial arts but is actually a great pose for the hamstrings and the spine. Get yourself into a position like a dog on all fours. Increase the distance between your knees and hands. Slowly pick up your knees off the floor and make them straight. You will look like an inverted V when you do this. Be sure to maintain your upper body straight too. Stay for a while and gradually come down to the original position you were in. Go over it again several times to give your back and hamstrings a workout.
Yoga consists of several useful poses that help soothe the nerves and give the body a good stretch. The 3 poses discussed above are particular great for height improvement as they target the key body parts – lower back and legs.
